It's probably easier than you think.
This topic is evolving and different users have different needs.
But, from what I've tested so far, the core is there and it's very likely that missing features will be added soon.
Maybe you can even contribute to that, by creating concepts, saying what is imported, implementing or testing it.
Don't overlook also the great feature set that godot has.
